Sony's president and CEO, Kenichiro Yoshida has confirmed that there are plans for a successor to the PS4. Sony Interactive Entertainment America boss, Shawn Layden, officially confirmed that PS4 Pro won’t be the last we see of the PlayStation brand. Sony Interactive Entertainment chief exec John Kodera announced in May 2018 that the "PlayStation 4 is entering 'final phase' of its life-cycle."
Unless Sony is ending the PlayStation we all know what this means! The PS5 is coming, it is going to happen and it will be the best gaming console the gaming world as ever seen! Rumors are now pointing to a possible release date for the PS5 in 2019 but more likely closer to 2020. Let’s find out what Sony’s planning, shall we?

  • GPU: Navy-based with AMD next-gen features at 12.6 to 14.2 teraflops
  • Memory: 24 GB total with 20 GB GDDR 6 at 880 GB/S and 4 GB DDR4 for the operating system
  • 2 TB HDD
